Migration Plan

Estate

The Estate Map

The plan's Overview has an Estate tab. It shows every project in the plan, and splits each project's repositories by what you choose: the dry run, the destination, the wave, how it moves, or how many repositories use it.

The totals count the repositories in each category. Select a total to highlight that category.

Opening the estate

You need the Migration Assistant manage permission. The Migration Plan is available on CodeCargo plans that include it. If you do not see it, contact your CodeCargo administrator.

What the Split Shows

  • Dry run — copied, copied with a caveat, failed, copying, queued, and not copied yet. Not copied yet is listed only while some repositories are not copied. See Dry Run.
  • Destination — the org each repository is headed to, or Not decided. Orgs with repositories are ordered by how many they take. See Decide Destinations.
  • Wave — the wave, or No wave. Waves stay in order. See Schedule Waves.
  • How it moves — only the ways this plan uses, such as transfer from sandbox, migrate again, needs a fix first, dry run not finished, or not copied yet.
  • How many repositories use it — none, one, two to three, four to nine, or ten or more.

An org or wave with no repositories is left off. When more than eight orgs or waves have repositories, the map keeps the biggest ones, always including Not decided or No wave, and groups the rest. That group is labeled with how many, such as 3 other orgs or 2 other waves.

Map, Bars, and Table

Map draws each project as a tile, banded by category. Projects with fewer than 50 repositories share one tile. Open that tile for a searchable list.

By project shows bars. Table shades each project by category. Both list twenty projects a page. Search narrows the list. N other projects holds the rest of the matches, and All N projects lists every match.

Under Display, Size by sizes each project by how many repositories it has, by disk, or by pipelines. That changes the tiles and bars, not the counts.

Select a project to open its panel beside the view, the same panel as on Plan Projects. A change you make there shows on the map.

The split, the view, the size, the highlight, and the open project stay in the address, so you can reload or share the link.

The Estate tab split by dry run, in the By project view: totals for copied, copied with a caveat, failed, copying, queued and not copied yet, and a bar per project from Analytics to Experiments showing the share of its repositories in each state, with a row for all 6 projects.
